I've always favored the approach that while there are bad reactions and analysis of content, and that there are objective elements in all art forms so that an aesthetic grade can be loosely derived, there is no single source that or group that has a monopoly on truth when it comes to art. Taking a look at Roland Barthes, a famous literary critic that de-emphasized the elitism inherent in authorial intent, I want to point you to his quote on that: That is a wonderfully profound philosophy that places must of the power of interpretation on the consumer/audience of art, but even though it supports the non-creator, it can still be applied to cases when individual tastes and analysis are subordinated to a group message. So, to answer your question, no the fandom are not gods of judgement here, nor are the show creators. Interpretation and general quality can be measured on an individual level depending on the value model the individual uses. For me, Season Six was fine, though not as good as the two seasons that preceded it. A few episodes this season were God Tier, and quite a few where enjoyable in their own right. That is a conclusion some may agree with, and some may disagree with. Both can be correct.

Hey y'all, after years in the fandom I decided it was about time to actually join this site! I'm mostly interested in this whole Draw Friend thing. Any tips on how to get into that would be great! So yeah, hi! -Topknot

Nightmare Moon = King Sombra + genderswap - actual brain cells. P.S.: At least the comics and later episodes fixed her up.

I love the Pikmin games, but my Childhood self didn't handle time limits well. My neighbor was a beast at the game though - so I saw the best ending. I was close to beating 2 with my brother, but memory card corruption kinda put the nail in the coffin for that. Pikmin 3....I just watched a LP of - kinda wish I picked that up though. I didn't get to play MK8 either sadly. MK7 was kind of a let down for me when compared to Mario Kart DS. I had so many hours clocked into that game - and Airship Fortress was my bread and butter. (Much to the chagrin of my gamer buddies in High School) I was grateful that my favorite level made a return in MK7, but I LOATHED the cheating 150cc AI in that game - so that put a damper on unlocking everything like i did in MKDS They'll probably go the Galaxy route honestly. Mario 64 is one of the flagship Mario titles, but Galaxy and its sequel blew a lot of people away with its creativity. If they do something new and creative - all the better.

Very well. You can start by running up the stairs to the Crypt. Grab the book from the skeletons, and pass into the Pit of the Pendulum. Now go to the column, and climb into the King's Storeroom. Smash the clay pots to find the key to lead you into the Chamber of the Secret Markers. Match the symbols on the right to those on the left, and pass into the Room of the Ancient Warriors. Place yourself in the correct armor and open the door to the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. Assemble the statue and you may be headed to the Room of the Secret Password. Find the tablet with the correct inscription, and shout it to open the door to the Pharaoh's Secret Passage. Slide down the tunnel to the Quicksand Bog, where you can smash through to the Dark Forest. But beware of the Temple Guards, which may inhabit the trees. Find the key in the tree, and you'll enter the Jester's Court. Press yourself against the correct wall painting, and you'll gain entry to the Tomb of the Headless Kings. Pull the vines to release their bones, and attach the missing skull to the proper king. Then race through the pit, climb through the ledges, race down the stairs and back through the Temple Gate. The choices are yours, and yours alone!

I would recommend playing the other two Pikmin games, they're all really good, but each one has its own feel. I'm sure they'll make a new Mario Kart, there's been a new one on each and every console/portable since the SNES. I hope the new Mario game takes a leaf out of the 64/Sunshine books, Sunshine is my favorite Mario game of all time.

I think you're implying that Luna's problem was that Celestia was being loved, but what the narrator says is that the problem was that the ponies shunned her night. As far as the cartoon mentions, Luna didn't care that Celestia's day was loved, only that her night wasn't. I think that something important to mention about Fluttershy is that "her thing" is understanding animals. Not only what they're saying, but what is bothering them. The first part of the episode does present the characters, but the most important part is the second, where their characteristics come together and ties the group together with Twilight's insight while facing Nightmare Moon. It's like the first part says "look, these are important" and the second part proves that they are. Nightmare Moon's stupidity in the second part was painful to watch but it should be excusable after mentioning that Lauren's original plan was to stretch the whole thing through the season (like you say would fix the problems). The real problem is that it was dumbed down because of the E/I rating it had to follow at the time and then rushed so that it could fit in a single episode. Nightmare Moon needed actual servants, goons to throw at the girls instead of being ineffective by herself. Or an excuse why she couldn't just off the girls: maybe she needed the Elements for something. Personally, if the cartoon didn't have that introduction, this whole thing would've made Nightmare Moon look like a buffoon and I certainly wouldn't get so interested in the series. I think that the important part about that intro is that the cartoon was taking itself seriously, when the second part really wasn't. Nightmare Moon seemed threatening (because of Eternal Night, and at the time, I wouldn't have a doubt that no one could make her do anything she didn't want). The problem, is that this emphasizes the problems with the second part and makes mentioning stuff like original plans and age rating important.

Skyrim is not confirmed despite being in the trailer The mario kart section intrigues me. It looks identical to 8 except for 2 differences, Boo and stacked items.

Banned because you assume Twilight can breathe in space. Last I checked, Twilight ≠ Frieza. If it was so, though, then clearly this isn't her final form.
