The phones, technology, etc., don't bother me at all. I just care about decent-to-good writing and decent-to-good animation. Sadly - they seem to be taking the Happy Ending Override route (Because that worked so well for Alien 3, the Star Wars Sequels, the "Future" Trunks Saga in Dragon Ball Super, Terminator: Dark Fate, etc., right?), and the character designs look like a step backward (e.g., G3).
