  1. With The 8th Anniversary of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic happening, I discuss the 2 (perhaps 3) things that got me into the fandom Comments are Welcomed #Sparity #Rarity_mlp #SpikeTheDragon #Rarity_X_Spike #Spike_X_Rarity #StarlightGlimmer #AppleJack #Starlight_X_Spike #Applejack_X_Spike #MLPFIM #MLPShipping #MLPMOVIE #MYLITTLEPONY #MYLITTLEPONY_FRIENDSHIPISMAGIC #TheBestGiftEver #ThePerpectPear #RARITY_MLP #SPIKE_MLP #SPARITY_MLP #MISANTHROPONY #MLP_SilverQuill #LightingBliss #Firebrand #GoldenFox #Keyframe #DrWolf001 #Brony #Bronies #Pegasister #Pegasisters #MLP_8thAnniversary
  2. With "Rollercoaster of Friendship" recently airing, the redemption at the end of Vignette Valencia, has gotten everyone talking again about how redemption should be utilized in both shows, when it comes to redeeming certain characters. And apparently Vignette's didn't sit well with a majority of the fans. And from what I understand, is for good reason, 1. the way she was portrayed throughout most of the special, seem to not really warrant a redemption or for fans to feel sympathy for her. And 2. Her actions spoke and showed that she's a character that needs more development before a proper redemption. But here's the thing, the writers/creative staff, they may write a good to great story for an episode/Special/Movie for EQG or FIM, but at the end of the day, they don't have the final say on how it's presented, Those above them at Hasbro, and DHX have the final say. Don't believe me, ask M.A Larson, he discussed this during a panel last year, when it came to how "Fame and Misfortune" was presented. For example, if it's decided that Cozy Glow gets redeemed at the end of this current season, despite what she has and will do, that's going to happen. If it's decided that Principal Cinch or Finch in Friendship Games gets redeemed in a future EQG Movie/Special, despite what she's done, it's going to happen. Same can be said for Cryissy, Triek, Lighting Dust, Wynn Rider, etc.... The point is, wither we as fans or the creative staff themselves feel a redemption should happen or not, in the end, it's the heads at Hasbro and DHX that have the final say on that decision. A good outside example of this, is WWE, and how despite everyone telling them otherwise, Roman Reigns is still getting pushed down all the fans throats, and getting a possibly rematch at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam event against Brock Lesnar for their Universal Title. And why is this happening, despite everyone outside and inside WWE saying otherwise, because at the end of the day, despite being able to book and write a good show, the creative staff don't have the final say on who should be pushed, Vince McMahon does. And in a strange way, the same can be said here. Because again, even if the fans and even the creative staff believe a redemption is needed or not, they don't have the last word, those above them at Hasbro and DHX have the final say. Anyway, that's all I have to say about that, let me know what you think about what I had to say here. Take Care and God Bless.
  3. I mean, if you look at the first half of this season, you have episodes that center around that in some way, (Horse Play), (Non-Compete Clause), (The Maud Couple), (Fake it, Till You Make It), (The Parent Map), and recently the Mid-Season Finale (The Mean 6). If those and what's to come in the 2nd half , if that doesn't show you that this season is about really testing their friendship and learning to accept each other for who they are and what they like and dislike, then I don't know what does. I also won't be surprised, (because IMO it seems to be possibly leading to this), that the School remains open as it is, but that Twilight and her Friends decide to step down as the staff of the school, because they'll come to realize that even though the idea for the school is a good one, that after everything they've gone through this past season, and the strong tests that their Friendship has had to endure, that they themselves still have a lot to learn about Friendship, and that also balancing their other priorities along with being teachers, isn't working out for them, and possibly hand off the teaching duties to those that they know can handle it and balance the time to do it. Or they can change it up a bit, to where School only is open maybe 2-3 times a week, and thus the rest of the week they can focus on strengthing their friendship with each other, and focus on their other priorities outside of teaching. And yes, in the end this will lead to a possibly Neighsay redemption at the end of the season. But what do you guys all think? Comments are Welcomed.
  4. I could. I mean she got refencend once in the series, so it only makes that she may make a apperacnce soon. Maybe Season 9? What do you think? By the way Sandy was Firefly's Original voice in G1. Thoughts?
  5. From the last 13:48 of 15:00mins of the 1hr live stream. Here I discuss potently what the 200th episode of My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic could be about. ps. between the cut out of 2:37-2:53, I was talking about "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel as the song Pinkie could a cover on. 6. So one question that was brought up, was how are the MANE 7 going to work around being teachers and such at this school, while they have other priorities to attend too. That's a good question. And hopefully, I can answer that. Now some are looking at the school as like a college of some kind, or an independent study program. And if that's the case, then it's real simple, you have one or two classes taught a day and that's it. Then afterwards you use the rest of the day to attend to those other priorities that need attention. For example : On Monday's , you could have Applejack and Rainbow Dash teach their classes, while the others use that day to attend to their other jobs and priorities Then on Tuesday's, Have Fluttershy and Pinkie teach their classes, while the others use that day to attend to their other jobs and priorities Then on Wednesday , Have Rarity teach her's, while the others use that day to attend to their other jobs and priorities, rinse and repeat. And then use the rest of the week to focus on other priorities that need attending too, or use it to just relax and enjoy life. Because you have to remember this, Rarity has 3 shops to attend too, so she would need that extra time to attend to them. Rainbow Dash is a Wonderbolt, so she'll need to rehearse with them, even if they work around her new teaching schedule, she still needs time to rehearse. Applejack has her family's farm that needs tending too. Pinkie has Sugarcube Corner bakery that she works at, so she'll need time for that. Twilight probably would like some time to just relax and read a good book, maybe catch up on what Sunset's doing, spend time with her family, etc. And Starlight would probably enjoy a bit of a break too, especially if she's going to be the school's guidance counselor, I'm sure she would appreciate some time off. But yeah, I believe that's how the school, from an hourly/time-wise perspective will work. I mean if you have 15-16 episodes yet to come that are non-school and non-student six centered, then what I just mentioned here on how it will operate, fits right in with the continuity of the season. Because remember after this past weekend, we now have only 8-9 school and student six centered episodes to go. But that's how (IMO) I believe the School of Friendship will operate in continuity with the 8th season. What do you think though? Do you agree with what I said? Share your thoughts and have a Blessed GOOD FRIDAY.
  7. I apologize for the length of this audiovideo at 27:40mins, please take your time to listen, and I also apologize if I seem to have rambled and repeated myself at times. God Bless! Here I talk about how fans have felt after the S8 premeire, and why with these new 6 characters being introduced, that fans have nothing to worry about this season or into season 9, and why the season will be the only true season based on the school of friendship and the only season to soley feature these new 6 characters. 8. After watching "Analyst Bronies React: Season 7 Finale "Shadow Play", I can understand many of the points that they made. However, if you really think about it, Starswirl was just as much to blame for what happen as Twilight. Now you may ask, "How can that be?" Well, when you think about it, if he had placed a note in his journal, telling whoever came across it, not to reverse the spell, maybe the Mane 6 would've been more cautious about it. Now let's say Twilight still wanted to reverse the spell, she could've done it in a way, that like in the S4 premiere , she could've put her own spin on it, and like later on in Part 2 of "Shadow Play", assumes she's figured out a way to bring the Pillars back without the Pony of Shadows, only to have it backfire, for example, when it at first it seems to have work, and even Starswirl seems impressed, but as they start to leave Ponhenge along with the Pillars, that's when the lighting hits and the Pony of Shadows emerges, and as they all turn around and see this, that's when Twilight realizes her own spin on the spell failed. Another thing is, if they wanted to involve Celestria and Luna a bit more, they could've had Starswirl teach them (back in the past) not opening or reverse any kind of spell that's meant to protect Equestria, and then have them pass it on to their future students. One thing some fans have taken issue with, is Starlight being the voice of reason, and basically being the one that saw the bigger picture of the situation and realized that there was possibly more to this than what was being telegraphed. And the reason that was, was because she was using her past experiences as an antagonist and what she had learned as Twilight's Student to realize that they were only getting one side of the story and not the other, and when they finally did get that side of the story, the reaction of the Pillars and StarSwirl was one of, "Oops! We Fu**Yeah** upped! Because they realized that hear their friend out on his reasoning for taking their items, and his reasoning, was because he wanted to help them in battle. And Starlight's reaction towards when this revelation was made, was one of, "See, Stygin was ready to talk and explain his actions" One other thing, is some fans may not like the fact, that it took towards the end of part 2 for her friends to stick up for Twilight, but my guess, is they love and respected Twilight enough, as to not confront Starswirl's berating of her, that was until he didn't even get a look see or consideration to her proposed plan/spell, and guess that was moment that the rest of the Mane 6 were basically "Enough of this berating crap of our friend!" So overall, yes!, "Shadow Play" was/is possibly one of the best Season Finale's the Show has done. But yet there are issue's here and there, that some members of the fanbase will take issue with, either positively or negatively. But those are just my thoughts. What did you guys think of what I had to say? Take Care!
  9. It's true. Because, when you think about it, with a majority of shows (animated or live-action), depending on how they go, most of the time, you will end up getting some kind of Graduation Episode, and wither it's continues the show, or is the show's finale, one always seems to happen. And along with it, comes changes. And should that be the route the creators go in , one major change could be Sunset Shimmer returning to Equestria (Friendship Is Magic). It would make sense , because as I mentioned above, with any High School based show, no matter if it's based around Magic or not, a Graduation Arc occurs. But should be the case, how it affect Sunset? One scernio, Sunset could back to start her life anew, reconcile with Celestria, and help continue her redemption by helping others out. 2nd Scernio : She Could remain, find a job that suits her when it comes to both Science and Magic combined 3. She, like her friends could continue her education and head to college. No matter what happens in the EQG series, this no doubt is an issue that the creative staff will have to address. One way to address it, will be a crossover movie between both MLP brands, where maybe it's discovered that the reason magic is coming into the EQG world is because Sunset is there and now it's causing a negative effect on both worlds and the only way to save both worlds, is for her to return to the FIM world. Heck you could merge it with the Graduation Story. But I guess will have to see in the end, should that cross the road. But what do you think? Do you agree with my thoughts? Let me and others know below.
  10. When Twilight and Later Starlight Enter The Human Equestria World, How do they get their clothes or in Starlight's case, mascara on her eyelids when they arrive? I'm just curious about that. Are the clothes suppose to match their personalities? I'm just curious about that. Also, how in The Equestria Prime world (the Pony world), she doesn't have mascara on her eyelids (or lipstick as seen in some promo pics), but upon arriving in the human world, she does. Couldn't they kind of keep her a bit of the same, like they did with Twilight. Also, one last thing, How in the world can she or Twilight get easily adjusted to the human body, like it's it nothing? Someone, please answer that. That's all have to ask for now. God Bless!

  12. I think the S7 finale (wither you enjoyed or not) gave us an idea of what Josh and Nicole has/have in store for us in this upcoming season. As far as the Pillars go, I've been thinking, that something is being set up that will cause them to go back to their original timeline in history, maybe they start losing whatever power they have or like Mistmane did in her story, start to grow older and in this case, weaker because they're slowly losing their power, and the only to save them is to send them back to their own time. Also I think somehow we will probably find out the that there is something more Darker than the POS, Tirek, Chrysalis , or any threat they've faced combined. I also think that all 6, if not Mane 7/8 Will get a vision of what this NEW Threat is, and what they may have to do to stop it, which may be something silmiar to what The Pillars did a 1000 years before to contain the POS. But those are just my theroies. Do you all agree?
  13. It may seem that DHX/Hasbro is heading in that direction. I mean why else would they decide to bring Tirek back in the season 8 finale, if that probably won't be the case? Well, because it just might be. I mean, when you honestly think about it, we really haven't had a full season long arc since season 4, and season 8 could be that season where we get another season long arc. And this could be why Chrysalis is seen in the S8 Premiere and Tirek is slated for the S8 Finale, because throughout the season, we will have episodes (every few weeks of the 26 episode run, I would assume) that will build to something big at the end. And whatever that maybe, will play a huge part in Chrysalis Reformation, wither it's Tirek draining her of her power (or what's left of it), or him (at full power) threating the changlings, it will be shown as being a big deal. Now I know many fans don't want this to happen, but if you look at Diamond Tira's reformation in S5, it may have taken 3 1/2 seasons to happen, but it did and the end result was the CMC's getting their cutie marks in the end. And you know what, it was treated as a big deal, why?, because it took nearly 4 seasons for it to happen, and at the same time, they help reform a character, that many felt was unreformable. So if you look at how S8 may play out story-arc wise, we may get a similar situation, but on a much larger scale, with the strong possibility of Chrysalis being reformed at the end of the season. But that's just a theory IMO, of what I could see happen in S8, now that we have both Chrysalis and Tirek in the picture. Do you agree? Chrysalis To Reformed In Season 8
  14. Is MLP : Friendship is Magic Hurrying Certain Moments Instead Of Really Building Up To Them? Did this before today, but I discuss, if MLP : FIM is hurrying certain big Moments and should they have held off on them a bit longer. Comments are Welcomed
  15. If let's say the story called for it to happen, not because of falling in love, but out of nessercity . What would your reaction be? Me, I wouldn't be bothered by it, if it was needed to complete a mission of some sorts, like a spell needed to be completed. What about you?
  16. As you know in the history of animation, if a show calls for it, a female character will melt into a complete puddle at the sight of attractive male character or from the flirting from said male character. So my question is, if this is/was done in the show, who out of the Mane 6 do you think the creative staff would have this happen too? My guess would be Rarity. How About you?
  17. The only way any kind of ship can happen, is when they decide to end the show, and the final (which I still believe will be 10) season occurs , that is where I believe any kind of ship for the Mane 6 or any other MLP character will happen and become official.

    Starlight Glimmer: hate or great?

A lot of people have been less than thrilled with Starlight Glimmer's role in the show post-season-five, so I thought I'd make a topic explaining my thoughts on the character, and invite others to share theirs. First of all, I get it. Her entire personality flipped in the space of about thirty seconds at the end of The Cutie Re-Mark, she had a flimsy bullshit motivation to be evil in the first place (hasn't she ever heard of a pen pal?), and she immediately found acceptance and ready forgiveness from the Mane 6 that she didn't have to earn, and continued to not earn at every opportunity. Here's why I'm cool with all that. There's no getting around how forced her change to good was. She was the most spiteful, revenge-driven villain the show's ever had, and then her No. 1 enemy and the pony who ruined everything she had built suggested that maybe they be friends instead, and on the cusp of her victory, she leapt headlong at the chance to give the pony she hated her perfect life back in exchange for a position at the bottom of the friendship totem pole. All I can say is... you have to use your imagination with this one. There had to have been huge time constraints with getting everything they wanted into the season finale -- they had to fit a bunch of different alternate timelines in you guys -- and I guess putting Starlight in cryostasis until they were ready to give her her own redemption episode wasn't in the plan. It's not like the change would have been any less jarring anyway, if Discord is any indication. So the way I figure it, there's stuff going on between the lines, during the events of The Cutie Re-Mark and prior. Having a childhood friend move away seems like the flimsiest villain motivation this side of accidentally running into a glass door and declaring war on all things transparent, but maybe that's her scapegoat for having a really shitty childhood in general. Maybe her parents neglected/abused her, and she was the weird kid at school, and her hang-up with cutie marks was less about losing one particular friend and more about the event of Sunburst getting his cutie mark signaling the departure of the only good thing in her life at the time, and now she blames it for all the trauma she had to endure growing up. As far as her heel/face turn, she very possibly had building doubts about the morality of what she was doing that she drowned out with blind anger. When Twilight showed her the future her actions would create, that had to shake her conviction, even if she was in denial at first. You've got to picture Twilight giving a more persuasive, impassioned plea at the end, and Starlight coming around to the idea a little more reluctantly than she did. The Remane 5, too, having more qualms about the idea of befriending Starlight than they actually showed. This is a cartoon for children. They're more willing to accept things at face value than adults are. We should keep that in mind! So now we're in Season Six, and Glim Glam gets a shiny new personality. She's genuinely repentant about the shit she's done in the past, she wants to learn to be a better pony, but at the same time, she has no idea how to stop being a villain. And this is what I love about the character. Because she didn't get a completely new personality. She's still manipulative, still largely oblivious to other pony's feelings, still sees the end as justifying the means. But she's trying so hard, you guys, in her own myopic way. Twilight says she has to make friends with a new pony, and here Applejack is offering her brother as an option, this is almost perfect. One small problem, he isn't very chatty, but hey, I'm a goddamn magical unicorn, no sweat! Magic fix! Magic is great! Wait, why is Applejack mad at me? What did I do wrong? Oh right. Other ponies' feelings. I'm always forgetting that one. She's a pony who's trying to do right with the skills and mindset of a villain. It's the same thing in Every Little Thing She Does. Twilight gives her an assignment, which she tackles with as much practicality and efficiency as she can. She misses the whole point of spending time with the Five, because she's just not used to thinking that way. And the idea of forcing your will on other ponies never strikes her as revolting, just a tidy solution to having to deal with everypony's time-wasting bullshit. So probably I like her for the same reason so many people don't: she's still a villain. She's just not evil any more, per se. As far as why everypony else is so quick to forgive her all the time, it's in the title of the show. Getting mad at Starlight for violating their minds and free will would have been totally justified, but instead they took the super high road, and that's not wrong. And maybe they're sensitive to the fact that making her feel guilty and excluded, while a rational response to her shenanigans, could tip her back over the edge into bitter, unstable maniac territory. Sure, they could just lock her up in Tartarus instead, but that's not especially on-message for the show. Thing is, Twilight offered to mentor her in friendship specifically because she's not good at it. Twilight herself caught on to the basics of friendship fairly quickly, because she has a good level of emotional intelligence, but Starlight's more of a challenge. She's not the best student! And that's okay, because the Mane 6 are willing to look past her fuck-ups and be patient with her while she learns. And what do you know? She ended up saving Equestria with a bunch of other ex-villains (Thorax counts because he was born into an ostensibly evil species and thus a bad guy by default). So, what did I miss? What aspects of MLP's handling of Starlight make you grind your teeth in frustration? TL;DR you're all right, Starlight Glimmer

    Starlight Glimmer is not OP

Starlight Glimmer is not OP. One criticism I have heard about Starlight Glimmer is that she is too powerful magic wise. However, when looking back at unicorn Twilight I just don't see it. Twilight was able to pick up an Ursa Minor with telekinesis, used the "Want-It-Need-It" spell as a form of mind control to make ponies fall in love with a doll, and accidentally turned a frog into an orange. I'm not seeing anything different from Starlight besides self-levitate. So how is Starlight OP?
  22. Throughout Season Six, Starlight Glimmer has gained fans and haters, but both can agree on the inconsistency of her appearances. Sometimes she's the star of an episode, other times it's easy to forget that she's joined the "main" cast at all. What are your thoughts on this? Where do you think she disappears to, what do you think should have been done with her in the episodes where she simply disappears and do you think we should be seeing more of her at all?
