  1. No exact date yet, but it looks like season 7 will premiere in April. I'm not surprised by the month.
  2. The first movie. The one it all started with. Let's talk about it, everypony!
  3. Would equestria girls Twilight (sci twi) be an alicorn if she went through the mirror to Equestria? Would she take on a form that resembles her trans-dimensional Equestrian counterpart, or would she appear as a unicorn seeing as how she was never a pony to begin with. Maybe she could preform some act in the human world that would make her an alicorn if she went to the other side of the mirror? As this is purely theoretical and will likely never happen in the canon, discuss!
  4. With the recent arrest of one of the animators for a show, i was wondering if those sickos had a place in fandoms. In my thoughts, they don't, they really don't have a place anyone but in prison. In the furry fandom we're hella against harmful people (toxics, creeps, abusers, scammers, etc.) What are you're thoughts?
  5. Celestial Advice marks the season 7 premiere for FIM. All Bottled Up immediately follows it. If you haven't seen it, HD upload on Daily Motion (not mine). Please leave your comments on the episodes below.
  6. The title says it. Is there a pony item that you want so badly to have in your collection, but probably cannot due to reasons like: - Very Rare - No Longer Produced - Too Expensive - Not Yet Available Don't be shy and tell! But remember to stay polite and beautiful
  7. Title: Forgotten Friendship Synopsis: Sunset Shimmer is shocked to discover that she's been erased from her friends' memories and must search for the magic and the perpetrator who did such a dreadful deed. Airs: Today at 12 P.M. on Discovery Family
  8. Hello. There's been some times where the one show we love, can get a little bit dark at some parts in the show as a whole. Although some people may argue about what can be considered as "dark" based on how it was played out in the final version of the episodes that aired. You know, scenes that may be a bit too difficult to watch, or just downright disturbing. From morbid curiosity, what do you think was the darkest/creepiest/disturbing moment in the series? After all this, you'll probably wonder if ponies are still for young girls. Here is a quick recap of some episodes that may be considered dark:
  9. Title: Mirror Magic Synopsis: Sunset Shimmer arrives home from Equestria with Starlight Glimmer to find the Mane 6 missing and Juniper Montage acting suspicious; Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer must discover the secrets of an enchanted mirror and help bring the Mane 6 home! Airs: This morning at 11 A.M. on Discovery Family

    Starlight Glimmer: hate or great?

A lot of people have been less than thrilled with Starlight Glimmer's role in the show post-season-five, so I thought I'd make a topic explaining my thoughts on the character, and invite others to share theirs. First of all, I get it. Her entire personality flipped in the space of about thirty seconds at the end of The Cutie Re-Mark, she had a flimsy bullshit motivation to be evil in the first place (hasn't she ever heard of a pen pal?), and she immediately found acceptance and ready forgiveness from the Mane 6 that she didn't have to earn, and continued to not earn at every opportunity. Here's why I'm cool with all that. There's no getting around how forced her change to good was. She was the most spiteful, revenge-driven villain the show's ever had, and then her No. 1 enemy and the pony who ruined everything she had built suggested that maybe they be friends instead, and on the cusp of her victory, she leapt headlong at the chance to give the pony she hated her perfect life back in exchange for a position at the bottom of the friendship totem pole. All I can say is... you have to use your imagination with this one. There had to have been huge time constraints with getting everything they wanted into the season finale -- they had to fit a bunch of different alternate timelines in you guys -- and I guess putting Starlight in cryostasis until they were ready to give her her own redemption episode wasn't in the plan. It's not like the change would have been any less jarring anyway, if Discord is any indication. So the way I figure it, there's stuff going on between the lines, during the events of The Cutie Re-Mark and prior. Having a childhood friend move away seems like the flimsiest villain motivation this side of accidentally running into a glass door and declaring war on all things transparent, but maybe that's her scapegoat for having a really shitty childhood in general. Maybe her parents neglected/abused her, and she was the weird kid at school, and her hang-up with cutie marks was less about losing one particular friend and more about the event of Sunburst getting his cutie mark signaling the departure of the only good thing in her life at the time, and now she blames it for all the trauma she had to endure growing up. As far as her heel/face turn, she very possibly had building doubts about the morality of what she was doing that she drowned out with blind anger. When Twilight showed her the future her actions would create, that had to shake her conviction, even if she was in denial at first. You've got to picture Twilight giving a more persuasive, impassioned plea at the end, and Starlight coming around to the idea a little more reluctantly than she did. The Remane 5, too, having more qualms about the idea of befriending Starlight than they actually showed. This is a cartoon for children. They're more willing to accept things at face value than adults are. We should keep that in mind! So now we're in Season Six, and Glim Glam gets a shiny new personality. She's genuinely repentant about the shit she's done in the past, she wants to learn to be a better pony, but at the same time, she has no idea how to stop being a villain. And this is what I love about the character. Because she didn't get a completely new personality. She's still manipulative, still largely oblivious to other pony's feelings, still sees the end as justifying the means. But she's trying so hard, you guys, in her own myopic way. Twilight says she has to make friends with a new pony, and here Applejack is offering her brother as an option, this is almost perfect. One small problem, he isn't very chatty, but hey, I'm a goddamn magical unicorn, no sweat! Magic fix! Magic is great! Wait, why is Applejack mad at me? What did I do wrong? Oh right. Other ponies' feelings. I'm always forgetting that one. She's a pony who's trying to do right with the skills and mindset of a villain. It's the same thing in Every Little Thing She Does. Twilight gives her an assignment, which she tackles with as much practicality and efficiency as she can. She misses the whole point of spending time with the Five, because she's just not used to thinking that way. And the idea of forcing your will on other ponies never strikes her as revolting, just a tidy solution to having to deal with everypony's time-wasting bullshit. So probably I like her for the same reason so many people don't: she's still a villain. She's just not evil any more, per se. As far as why everypony else is so quick to forgive her all the time, it's in the title of the show. Getting mad at Starlight for violating their minds and free will would have been totally justified, but instead they took the super high road, and that's not wrong. And maybe they're sensitive to the fact that making her feel guilty and excluded, while a rational response to her shenanigans, could tip her back over the edge into bitter, unstable maniac territory. Sure, they could just lock her up in Tartarus instead, but that's not especially on-message for the show. Thing is, Twilight offered to mentor her in friendship specifically because she's not good at it. Twilight herself caught on to the basics of friendship fairly quickly, because she has a good level of emotional intelligence, but Starlight's more of a challenge. She's not the best student! And that's okay, because the Mane 6 are willing to look past her fuck-ups and be patient with her while she learns. And what do you know? She ended up saving Equestria with a bunch of other ex-villains (Thorax counts because he was born into an ostensibly evil species and thus a bad guy by default). So, what did I miss? What aspects of MLP's handling of Starlight make you grind your teeth in frustration? TL;DR you're all right, Starlight Glimmer
  11. Title: Movie Magic Synopsis: The Equestria Girls are very excited to have been specially invited by A.K. Yearling to go on the set of the upcoming Daring Do movie; when an important prop goes missing, putting the movie on hold, it's up to the Equestria Girls to track it down. Airs: Today at 11:30 A.M. on Discovery Family
  12. I'm aware some people already saw the specials, but this is their first time airing on Discovery Family, so I thought I'd make the discussion thread. Title: Dance Magic Synopsis: Rarity convinces her friends to join a music video competition; when the girls learn that Crystal Prep Academy is also interested in participating, they worry whether they'll be able to pull together and make a winning music video. Airs: Today at 11:30 A.M. on Discovery Family
  13. So we finally got the Far Cry 5 trailer last friday, and almost instantly the internet is aflutter with offense. I've read everything, from people upset that the villains seem to be a cult based in Christianity, from them being white, and even people being upset that once again backwoods mountain folk are portrayed as being violent, hateful, and evil. Let's work backwards on this. The last one I can understand. While people that live in these communities that tend to be far removed from big cities, that doesn't make them uneducated or sociopaths. Too often those that have maintained their deep mountain roots are shown to be removed from normal senses of humanity, and I don't think that's fair. If that were the case, we'd see more instances of the Amish rising up with pitchforks, torches, and long beards a-quiver with rage. I completely understand that choosing a folk that are far from central law enforcement and typical societal norms makes more easier reasoning in their decent, but it's starting to get over done. Next, making them white. This one is too easy to yell at people for, so i'll make it short. We've been to other continents, where we gunned down masses of people with different colored skin, because those people were the predominant individuals of that region, or had at least taken that region as their own. Now, we're in America, where, guess what, the people are predominantly white. Also, and the big one here, if you actually watch the trailer, there are other ethnicities present in the cult, so yknow, nice try peeps. Last, the Christianity tones. The cult has been explained to be a Doomsday cult, one of those groups that feels it must begin purging the wicked from this world. We see folks with sinner written on their backs, bound and bloody. A woman is drowned in a mock river baptism, a man's head is used to ring the bell of a church in session. Clearly the cult is using doctrine it has (knowingly or unknowingly) twisted into a form that they feel gives them free reign to bring terror and death to their countryside. For this i'll say this main point: I am a Christian, i've grown up as such, and formed my own ideas and beliefs beyond what I was taught. And foremost, i've learned that not all doctrine is interpreted the same, and that some things in the Bible can be construed in many different ways. What we're seeing here is a (fictional, though not all-together unlikely) group of villains and terrorists that choose to follow a more violent interpretation of the Bible. Similar to Outlast 2, someone probably read something and decided it meant something VERY different. Being offended because they draw from Christianity for form their villains is stupid because no one is saying that Christians are bad, its says THESE people are bad, and are using it as a weapon. Thoughts? Im curious as to what people think
  14. Title: Rock Solid Friendship Synopsis: Pinkie Pie does everything she can to make sure her sister, Maud, sees that Ponyville has more to offer than just rocks. Airs: Today at 11:30 A.M.
  15. Now that posting works again, I decided to start the discussion thread for the latest episode. Title: A Flurry of Emotions Synopsis: Twilight Sparkle tries to prove she is the best aunt ever when she adds baby-sitting her niece, Flurry Heart, to her already busy schedule. Aired: April 22, 2017 at 11:30 A.M.
  16. Plain and simple. Pick a thing out of MLP:FiM or EG that somepony or everypony (as it appears to you) dislike, but you beg to favor instead, and do your finest to prove that it truly deserves to exist.

    Chrysalis Is A Good Person

I made a video in hopes to show everyone that Chrysalis no villain at all and is a good person who was just wronged. I probably could have scrounged around for more evidence but i think what i have is solid enough.
  18. I have two adorable little sisters that mean the world to me that adore My Little Pony. When I showed them a few pictures from some age appropriate artists they were overjoyed that a website that had pony news even existed. Thing is, they're pretty young, as in cruising through disney websites only young, and when I started to browse the site to see if it was safe to peruse I found that EQD keeps content that isn't so age appropriate. I couldn't share the joy of EQD with them. Now I know this is a long shot and that it would take a loooot of preparation to put something like this into motion, but I was wondering if there was ever a plan to implement an age appropriate safe version of EQD? It would be a lot of work but Id rather ask and be denied than never asking at all.
  19. We all love MLP: FiM. We all love ponies. But some of us cannot deny that some of the episodes might not be as good as the others for one reason or another. If you have a soul to pour about this, then go ahead. Just be sure to not turn it into a pile of nonsensical primal hatred. Also, don't forget the explanation of your point
  20. H e l l o, e v e r y p o n y ! Do you like songs from you-know-which show and you-know-which movies? Like some more? Like some less? Well I have just conjured for us this cute little topic to talk about them! Go ahead, don't be shy, and say what do you think of any song that you heard in Friendship is Magic and/or Equestria Girls! But make sure to maintain your politeness, okay?

    A EqG Spin Off Movie

Canterlot High Ponies. There should be like a spin off movie where the ponies get human features like the humans get pony parts. So like the ponies get human arms and legs, but pony bodies and faces.
