  1. I've been reviewing My Little Pony episodes since 2012, and since this appears to be the popular thing for reviewers here, I'm now creating a thread for my episode reviews going forward. For now, I'm not gonna upload my entire backlog, which you can find at my Blogspot, but I will be maintaining this thread with all of my longer reviews going forward. On MLPForums, I also sometimes write a couple paragraphs about an episode I re-watch, so I might add some of those here as well. Before we begin, I'd like to note the scoring system which I began using during the season 6 hiatus. I score every episode out of 100, averaged from four attributes, each scored out of 10. Entertainment refers mainly to superficial pleasures, such as humour, charm, and emotional effect. I made this category broad enough to encompass episodes with very different goals, as not every episode is humour-oriented. Characters refers to how well the characters are written in this episode. I generally prize complexity over consistency, so while I'm not super fond of out-of-character behaviour, I'm still willing to support it when it's interesting enough. I'll also generally rate characters higher for having strong personalities. Themes refers to both the lessons at the end of episodes and anything else I pick up on while watching. This includes subtext as well, so an episode doesn't have a strongly stated moral, it could still score highly in this category. Story is the general polish and consistency of the storytelling, which is something other reviewers seem to prize slightly more than I do. Generally, I'm willing to forgive a slightly flimsy narrative, but even I have my limits. Finally, here's a list of everything I've rated from Friendship is Magic and Equestria Girls since introducing the new scoring system. Hopefully this can give you an idea of my tastes. Season 1 "Friendship is Magic" - 80 "Dragonshy" -- 78 "Fall Weather Friends" - 90 "Suited for Success" - 90 "Party of One" - 100 "The Best Night Ever" - 100 Season 2 "Lesson Zero" - 100 "Luna Eclipsed" - 63 "Sweet and Elite" - 85 "Hearth's Warming Eve" - 73 "The Last Roundup" - 100 "Dragon Quest" - 88 "Hurricane Fluttershy" - 100 "A Canterlot Wedding" - 68 Season 3 "Sleepless in Ponyville" - 90 "Wonderbolts Academy" - 100 Season 4 "Rarity Takes Manehattan" - 98 "Pinkie Apple Pie" - 70 "Pinkie Pride" - 98 "For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils" - 100 "Leap of Faith" - 95 "Twilight's Kingdom" - 95 Season 5 "The Cutie Map" - 78 "Bloom and Gloom" - 100 "Slice of Life" - 83 "Canterlot Boutique" - 53 "Rarity Investigates" - 100 "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" - 85 "Hearthbreakers" - 63 "The Mane Attraction" - 50 "The Cutie Re-Mark" - 53 Season 6 "The Crystalling" - 93 "The Gift of Maud Pie" - 90 "On Your Marks" - 75 "Gauntlet of Fire" - 68 "Newbie Dash" - 63 "A Hearth's Warming Tail" - 100 "The Saddle Row Review" - 90 "The Cart Before the Ponies" - 55 "28 Pranks Later" - 63 "The Times They Are a Changeling" - 95 "Dungeons & Discords" - 93 "Buckball Season" - 55 "The Fault in Our Cutie Marks" - 98 "Viva Las Pegasus" - 65 "Every Little Thing She Does" - 58 "Pony Point of View" - 43 "Where the Apple Lies" - 53 "Top Bolt" - 95 "To Where and Back Again" - 85 Season 7 "Celestial Advice" - 50 "All Bottled Up" - 38 "A Flurry of Emotions" - 93 "Rock Solid Friendship" - 60 "Fluttershy Leans In" - 35 "Forever Filly" - 48 "Parental Glideance" - 80 "Hard to Say Anything" - 25 "Honest Apple" - 40 "A Royal Problem" - 83 "Not Asking for Trouble" - 63 "Discordant Harmony" - 80 "The Perfect Pear" - 83 "Fame and Misfortune" - 45 "Triple Threat" - 70 Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks - 88 Friendship Games - 70 Legend of Everfree - 40 "Dance Magic" - 45 "Movie Magic" - 70 "Mirror Magic" - 25
  2. Alright, one thing about me that I like is to review stuff at my leisure. One area of interest I like to review is MLP FIM episodes. Normally I would post this on a personal blog or so, but since that feature is not in yet, I've decided to try it out here on this thread if that is alright. What I would do here is to give my opinions with as much detail that I can find in each episode and explain why I like or dislike such a thing to happen in said episode. I hope that this will turn out well as I admit I'm a bit nervous starting a review thread or so, but I hope that this endeavor will turn out exceptionally well. I'm nervecited as Meghan would say
