  1. Name: Flame486#5626. (My nickname is Princess Celestia.) Age: 25. Favorite Pony: Princess Celestia. Why do you want to be an EQD Mod? I've been a part of the Discord server for a really long time now and I feel like I've gotten to know it pretty well. I've become friends with a lot of the people, I hang out in every part of the server, I hang out at odd hours of the day, even when I'm at work. Honestly, I'm just on there all the time. I love Equestria Daily. I get on there to have a great time, and every so often I might see something wrong and I would wish I could do something about it. What prior moderation/administration experience do you have, if any? I don't have any official experience yet. But I'm in charge of my own roleplaying server, and I post on there frequently. Time Zone: Pacific Standard Time. Anything else you'd like to share: Despite having a full time job, I still get online an awful lot. Lately I've been getting online between the hours of 9:00 AM PST to 3:00 PM PST, usually for small intervals but enough to make a bit of difference. I get off work around 5:00, and get back online around 5:30 PM, and then spend the rest of the night on Discord up until around 10:30 PM. Long story short, I'm on Discord a whole lot. I spend enough time on the Equestria Daily server that I'm able to clear through all the new messages left for me and still get bored. I'm always looking for new things to try, and I feel like this would be an exciting next step in my life.
  2. Name: Spirittis#0386 Age: 22 Favorite Pony: Asking me to choose one favorite pony is like asking me to choose a favorite color of the rainbow - you're leaving out the beauty they create together. Which position are you applying for? Discord Mod Why do you want to be an EQD Mod? Since I joined the EQD discord a year ago, I've spent a significant portion of my time there - met new people, made great friends and really received a lot that I am grateful for. I would like to give that back to the community. I always tried to help people in the server where I could and I believe by becoming a mod, I could do even more. The idea of applying for a this position has crossed my mind in the past, but the mod team was fully staffed and doing a great job so there wasn't a need for anyone new. Now with the recent events of mods/admins stepping down, I believe I could lend my hand to a good cause. I believe I can be patient and calm when dealing with issues and that though this approach, many can be solved peacefully without hurting the relationships in the group and the server. With patience and a little help, people can change - and sometimes you might find the best friends in people that you met as enemies. What prior moderation/administration experience do you have, if any? Practically none yet. Administration of a private server for circa 30 IRL friends is nothing like the 4000 people server of EQD. But I've lerned my way around Discord's administration interface, role hiearchy and permissions systems thanks to that. Time Zone/Times you'll be able to moderate: Central European Time (UTC+1). When working throughout the week, I usually head to bed earlier (around midnight my time) and correspondingly wake up early as well. On weekends, my time is way more flexible to fill out the times where I'd be needed the most. Anything else you'd like to share: I'm a student and a programmer. I consider myself to know my way around computers and I can easily lend my hand with discord bot/web/server maintenance/repairs/upgrades if needed be. I will gladly help with anything that's needed. Language-wise, I'd dare to say I know my native language - Czech - fairly well. I also believe to be fairly fluent in both written and spoken English and I have earned Deutsches Sprachdiplom Stufe II in German language, though my skills are really rusty after three years of non-usage.
  3. Name: NGnir#0042 Age: 22 Which position are you applying for? Discord Moderator If Sectional/Forum Mod, which section(s)? N/A Why do you want to be an EQD Mod? EQD has been a very welcoming community, a place where I enjoy spending a lot of my time and somewhere I have made a great many friends. The server has given a lot to me and I'd be happy to donate my time back in the form of moderating and keeping those pesky oversized reaction images at bay. I feel I can bring maturity as well as approach-ability to the role that can hopefully help make the server as pleasant a place for others as it has been for me. I've made friends with a vast majority of the moderating team and would be happy to work alongside them to continue making the server a wonderful place for all. What prior moderation/administration experience do you have, if any? Currently a Twitch Moderator for a PUBG streamer peaking at around 1000 viewers. Twitch chat can get notoriously rowdy at times, however, myself and the rest of the mod team keep a vigilant eye on the first moving chat to make it as wholesome and friendly as possible. We also work to provide general help and support for the viewers with all things PUBG to help take some of the load off the streamer reading the chat, and to try make everyone a better player. I have also previously moderated an MLP TTT server back in the day for around half a year in 2012 before the server was shutdown. Time Zone/Times you'll be able to moderate: GMT+0 (UK time). My sleep pattern can diverge substantially from this and will be very flexible with the times I am available. But no matter what I'll be on discord for most of the day, easily around 10 hours plus only varying with things like lectures. Anything else you'd like to share: I will be graduating University in 6 weeks and over the summer I will have a significant amount of spare time that I will be spending on Discord, and will happily donate to moderating duties. Also will give free TFH coaching if accepted. Also if not accepted. Please play with me.
  4. Name: hydroglyphic#4775 Which position are you applying for? I wish to apply for a Discord mod position. Why do you want to be an EQD Mod? I am very good at managing people and adhering to guidelines and rules. I also enjoy the MLP community.. Time Zone/Times you'll be able to moderate? I am CT. I am free at the hours of 3:00 through 9:00 on weekdays. I am not very active on weekends but if I were to say when I am available then It would be at 12:00-8:00. Anything else you'd like to share: I have experience with managing servers but they were small. I am hoping to gain more experience from becoming a mod on this server.
  5. (had to re-submit this) Name: Stargazer#6095 Which position are you applying for? Discord Moderator If Sectional/Forum Mod, which section(s)? N/A Why do you want to be an EQD Mod? So when I first joined the fandom three years ago, I learned a lot from the show. I then found the Equestria Daily website about a year after. After 3 years in the fandom, it showed me that this fandom is really welcoming to new people to the fandom and friendly to people already in the fandom. After joining the Discord server, the experience I've had so far in the server was kind of an up and down roller coaster. When I first joined, I was a little nervous about all the people that I was going to talk to, but I actually found that everyone gets around really well and really easily. Back in July, I got a little sensitive with one of the moderators and left the server in rage. 2 months later, I came back silently. Ever since I came back, I really regretted what I did back then. Now all I'm trying to do is to rebuild what I destroyed. TL;DR: I want to become a mod because it would bring me closer to the EQD community and I want to help keep the EQD community running well. I'll try to welcome new users to the server or even welcome new people who are new to the fandom, while also making sure that old users are getting along well and following the rules properly. Right now I think I kind of have that "memelord" label right now, so if I need to tone it down a little bit, I will. What prior moderation/administration experience do you have, if any? I don't have a lot of (or enough) experience on servers exactly, but I know my way around the Discord tools. The only servers I'm in where I have moderation controls is 2 servers that some of my friends own. They have moderating rules, so I follow them. If there are moderating rules here, I will be able to follow them. Time Zone/Times you'll be able to moderate: PST (UTC-8). I am mostly active between 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Sometimes my sleeping schedule could get messed up (because I love to sleep), so that could change it from 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM. For the times I'm less active, you can ping me if you ever need me and the notification will go to my phone and I'll try to get online as fast as possible. Anything else you'd like to share: Hopefully you don't mind me having both a Discord mod application and a forum mod application. If I can't have both applications at the same time, please prioritise this application over the forum application. Thank you!
  6. Name: Bunker Squirrel (A.K.A. Queen of Snoot Boops) Bunker Squirrel#6142 Age: 21 Which position are you applying for? Discord moderator Why do you want to be an EQD Mod? When I first joined the community, I had little to no interest in being a moderator. I was content with just joining and having fun, perhaps even at the expense of the rules. As I stuck around, though, I began to appreciate and respect the rules more than I had, and I now fully understand why they are there and try to follow them as strictly as possible. I have seen firsthand how some ponies join our servers to relax and take a break from their lives, and I have had some of them tell me how important our server is to them. I now realize that EqD is something special, and I have tried my best to make it as warm and inviting of a place as possible. Now that I have had time to get to know the regular members, staff, and rules, I think I am ready to take the next step and help maintain the server I have grown to love. What prior moderation/administration experience do you have, if any? I have held Admin and Moderator positions over four years on two Garry's Mod TTT servers. TTT is arguably one of the most difficult game mode to moderate because the rules are so subjective and difficult to enforce. I performed my duties consistently, even before moderator tools were introduced to streamline the process. I was also able to consistently diffuse situations between members, as well as quell any arguments on my rulings. I took my responsibility more seriously than some of the other staff, including higher ups, and only used my powers to improve our players' stay on our servers. I received zero marks on my record as staff in either community. Time Zone/Times you'll be able to moderate: AKST -9. My timezone allows me to stay active between the awkward hours when most of our NA staff goes to bed and the European/ Australian members are still waking up. I often find that the total number of staff drops down to 2-3 members when I am most active. I keep Discord open from around 8PM-6AM EST, but I am most active between 12-6AM EST. Anything else you'd like to share: I really like kites.
  7. Please prioritise my Discord mod application over this! Name: Stargazer#6095 Which position are you applying for? Forum Moderator If Sectional/Forum Mod, which section(s)? Just pick whatever you think is comfortable for me. Why do you want to be an EQD Mod? First off, I feel like I should be part of the forum moderation team because I don't think there's enough people moderating the forums. Second, for the 3 years I've been in the fandom, I feel like I haven't given back enough to the fandom. I want to protect the place where ponies can get along with each other well. I want to make sure that everypony isn't being a jerk to each other and they're getting along well. What prior moderation/administration experience do you have, if any? For forums, not exactly. If you count Discord, the only experience I have is 2 servers that some of my friends own. I look at the rules, and enforce them. If they posted something that isn't supposed to be in a channel, I tell them that it belongs in the appropriate channel that it belongs in and delete the content. Time Zone/Times you'll be able to moderate: My timezone is PST. (UTC-8). I am most active from 2:00 PM - 9:30 PM. I'm a little less active between 6:30 AM - 2:00 PM, but I can still be on at that time if I have to be. Anything else you'd like to share: N/A
  8. DigitalBlackjack

    Discord Moderator Application

Name: DigitalBlackjack#8568 Which position are you applying for? Discord Moderator If Sectional/Forum Mod, which section(s)? N/A Why do you want to be an EQD Mod? Well, I want to experience handling responsibilities in a community even though for some I can be a bit *hyper* but nonetheless, I wanna contribute to the community. I have been a part of the fandom for about 6 years now and I want to do something for a change, even if one of those change is helping people mod the group in general. What prior moderation/administration experience do you have, if any? I've modded a group in steam before, it was the Pow3r of Friendship, it was around 500 members at the time and I've mostly modded the chat group and often posted announcements when there's new stuff going on around. It was 5 years ago, ended in 2013 and now I want to share my experiences in the discord server Time Zone/Times you'll be able to moderate: PHT- Philippine Time Zone, UTC+08:00. I am always flexible with time and such, and often I am available for almost 24 hours a day, though often I am asleep by 3AM PHT. My current situation isn't that of a big deal, so I am very sure that I can stay online for the rest of the day. Anything else you'd like to share: I am looking forward to make friends and co-operate with the moderators and admins alike, and set aside any differences to work together in keeping the server stable at all times.
  9. Starlight_Platinum

    Discord Mod Application

Name: Maudtaro_Platinum#4250 Which position are you applying for? Discord Mod If Sectional/Forum Mod, which section(s)? N/A Why do you want to be an EQD Mod? I wish to be an EQD Mod because I hold a passion for the community. I have met many wonderful people that have welcomed me in and backed me up even when I didn't look trustworthy. So I want to return that feeling of acceptance to many others that might consider joining. I have been part of this fandom for a bit over a year and this community does not make me regret it. What prior moderation/administration experience do you have, if any? I was once a mod on a Minecraft server quite a long time ago. Only real piece of modding experience I have. Anything else you'd like to share: I spend most of time just looking over the EQD Discord server and forums. I have a good stance with most of the mods and normal users. I would mostly like to take this mod position to meet new people and help the community. I'm on from 6 am - 10 pm EST. I mostly would like to be a part of the team to help on any possible attacks, as I have seen a few go on while most mods were stuck to mobile or were not online.
  10. Name: Ilyasnow#2594 Which position are you applying for? Discord Mod. If Sectional/Forum Mod, which section(s)? n/a Why do you want to be an EQD Mod? I spend most of my time over at EQD Discord server. Members of it became my close friends and some reached almost family status in my eyes. Helping moderate the server and making new folks feel like part of the family too is the smallest thing I can do to repay for everything they gave me already. What prior moderation/administration experience do you have, if any? I had created a few Discord servers before, some of which has 40+ members. Know the moderation and administration tools Discord provides such as: General server settings, role management, VC/Text permissions, categories, etc. Played around with Discord Bot API for some time. Also was a "mod" in medium sized organisation in one game long time ago. Internet experience provided by IRC chats such as chat and big forums such as Reddit got me used to a large quantities of incoming information. Anything else you'd like to share: As I said already: I spend most of my day in Discord, particularly in EQD server. For the next few months I'm planning on being online from ~8:00 to ~22:00 UTC+0. Highly objective, diligent, technically correct person, who loves order. Practising art, music, programming, electrical engineering and a little bit of writing. Live in Western Russia at UTC+3.
  11. The Infamous Mystery

I saw Discord Mod Application Here

Name: The Infamous Mystery, or in EQD Discord, you'll know me as SkyGlimmy Cyanide Butter "User". Discord tag is #The Infamous Mystery#7077 Which position are you applying for? Discord Mod If Sectional/Forum Mod, which section(s)? ...kek Why do you want to be an EQD Mod? First and mostly, memes. I know the mod application form isn't something to laugh about, but hey, what's wrong with having some fun? And I also notice that the Server's getting bland sometimes and mods are kinda slow when raids happen, so I thought I could speed it up a little and make the server active. What prior moderation/administration experience do you have, if any? I am the one and only owner in one community in G+. I guess that counts? 108 members, but it's dead due to the lack of topics. Anything else you'd like to share: Memes are meant to be free, but I understand the limitations of why there are rules in the meme channel, but if you're targeting the server into a family-friendly place, then EQD should have banned bad words, ya know? But meh, feel free to ignore. I am a senior high school student preparing to become an accountant or business manager. I also self-study programming so I guess that can help? I am also a writer in FiMFiction, FanFiction, and Wattpad, not the famous ones, but yeah, you get it. I used to be a Twitterpony, a RP community in Twitter, but they ban me because I was "God modding" in my solo adventures. Yep, only canon ponies can do that. Anyways, I'm just trying the application out. Feel free to stalk my other accounts: Twitter: @InfamousMystery Google +: A Nevarific Account FiMFiction: InfamousMystery Disqus: @InfamousMystery FanFiction: InfamousMystery Imgur: InfamousMystery Main Blog Site: Why so much InfamousMystery? Simple. I don't fully trust the internet. Thank you for giving it a read and good luck to me
  12. Download it now at NexusMods! The Watcher is the prologue for Gardens of Equestria: This Coming Storm, and the first in a series of episodes in a DLC-length mod for Fallout: New Vegas. GoE introduces new enemies, allies, and unique equipment from beyond the Mojave. As you investigate the cause of these echoes, you will choose a side and decide the fate of two worlds. However, it’s not just the start of a world-spanning adventure. Changes have swept through the New Pegasus area, altering everything from billboards to ancient Pre-War posters, stimpaks to road signs, teddy bears to the Las Pegasus sign itself. There’s also a new PipBuck radio station featuring 32 of the greatest hits from the MLP:FiM fandom. The reality distortions have even affected your PipBuck’s user interface, complete with new loading screens, a new progress wheel and altered game Perks. Custom cinematics, a fully-voiced cast, unique new ambient music and much, much more await you within. Gardens of Equestria: This Coming Storm requires Fallout: New Vegas and the Old World Blues DLC. 13. Original Post on Happy Thursday Everypony! Novel Idea here with a very special surprise for you! As many of you know, last Saturday, October 23, was Fallout Day! (October 23, 2077 was the day the bombs fell in the Fallout Universe). Well, we didn't want to let this special day pass without something for you. So now, we are very proud to present the next two Environment Preview Trailers for Gardens of Equestria: This Coming Storm! Before we get to that, though, I have a special announcement! The Manehattan Project is currently looking for a few good folks to come and help us! In particular, we're looking for the following positions: Musicians (specifically orchestral in the same style you've heard in our trailers) 2D Texture Artists Vector Artists If you're interested in becoming a part of The Manehattan Project, creating an epic game and having something truly awesome to put on your portfolio, please let us know at our Recruitment Center! Now, we have a new piece of art for you! Another gem by Blue Nova, this is the official artwork for everypony's favorite breakfast cereal: Sugar Apple Bombs! This one was fun. Blue and I had a long discussion/argument about who should be featured on the poster. Originally, it was going to be Pinkie or AJ, but they just didn't work for a multitude of reasons. So finally, we decided we needed an Apple on there! We played around with the idea of Babs Seed, but since I don't think her fate has ever been covered in FO:E (or even mentioned, since she appeared after the 'canon lock'), we decided to go with everypony's favorite Appleloosan Resident: Braeburn! Now seriously, how epic did Blue do on this? Details as fine as the shape of the cereal pieces? And by the way, yes that is indeed the box you'll be seeing in This Coming Storm! Now, onto the mane event! I am delighted to announce that this is the debut of our new Cinematics Lead, Scarlet Moon. A talented mare with years of experience working cinematographic magic, Scarlet Moon was simply critical in putting these together. I know they look similar to the previous ones, but they are indeed quite different. While I did the game capture and we used the intro and outro I had designed for the previous trailers, she did all the editing and clipping, including working Corvus's wonderful music into the pieces! First, we have the GoE: This Coming Storm Environment Preview Trailer #3. In this special preview trailer, you'll get a sneak peek at the Stable 207 Living Quarters as well as the brand new version of Appleloosa Valley! Stable 207 Living Quarters is a vast complex containing an apartment for the Courier as well as rooms for Littlepip, Velvet Remedy, Calamity and Steelhooves. Use it as your base of operations as you put an end to the threat against all reality! Plus, you'll get pictures of the new and improved Appleloosa Valley, carefully reconstructed and expanded for maximum epic output! This is most likely what you will end up seeing in the final game folks! Finally, we have GoE: This Coming Storm Environment Preview Trailer #4. In this special preview trailer, you'll get a sneak peek at the new exterior of the Rock Farm, as well as the sprawling Sector 2 - Administration Wing, the Security Bunker player home and a sneak peek at the top-secret Sector 3 - Labs! That's right folks. For the very first time, you get a tiny glimpse at the Sector 3 - Labs. What you're seeing is the Pegasus Rifle Testing Range and the "Soft Words" Testing Facility, as well as the Sector 3 - Level D Utility Control breakroom and control room! I've kept Sector 3 under tight wraps because it's going to be a shocker at just what's waiting for you within, but I decided it can't hurt to show you a little, eh? Well, that's it for this month folks from The Manehattan Project! Within the next couple weeks, we hope to have a major announcement where you might get a chance to meet us in person if you happen to be going to a particular convention! (How's that hype train coming?) That's all for Manehattan for this week folks! But for those of you waiting for the next installment of Wavelengths, stay tuned! Something might be coming soon!
  14. FragrantGingerCalamari

    Fave DooM mod?

    I like Brutal DooM.
  15. Howdy everypony! Novel Idea here! I know it's been a little while since we last had a post, but remember we've decided to shift to a monthly update schedule. Heck, a few of you have asked if we're still in business! Well, I'm happy to report we are indeed still in business and have made some serious strides with some really cool internal tools including stuff like Version Control. What that means is we'll be able to have multiple people working on the project at the exact same time! (If it doesn't seem like a big deal to you, you'll need to take my word for it). But wait! There's more! I'm happy to report the polishing touches upon Appleloosa Valley, our enormous worldspace you'll be exploring in the events of This Coming Storm are almost complete. There's still a bit left to do, but once that's done, I hope to have some cool new Environment Trailers for you to enjoy. Introducing Little Tinker! Before we get to Blue Nova's latest artistic masterpieces, I want to introduce a new member of the team. I'm very excited to welcome none other that Little Tinker to our team! I first met Little Tinker in the Equestria Daily Contributor Skype Chat (that's a really long name). As we were both technically-minded folks we hit it off fairly well and he has been kind enough to be a beta reader for my latest short story endeavours (which I'll be chatting about at the end of the post). But why should you care? Only because Little Tinker is the Sysadmin and a developer for none other than the Poniverse series of websites. The guy's got more scripting and coding knowledge in his fetlock than I do in my entire body. So please welcome him! I'm totally thrilled to have him on board. Now that I've prepped you, he's his own introduction in his own words! Little Tinker - Script Engineer Charitably described as "happy-go-lucky" (but more accurately as incorrigible), Tinker failed the saving throw against Novel's persuasion attempt and found himself added to the GoE Technical Team. While he has been known to write a line of code or two, this is his first foray into game scripting and is wondering what horrific crime he did in a past life for GECK to be his first game engine. He currently occupies his days with his duties here, and at Poniverse and Ponified Cards. Tink has no free time. New Artwork! Now, let's talk art! It's been a while since we've had new material to show you. So today, you've got three completely original pieces! We'll start with something plain ol' fun! Seriously, how real does this look? You'll be seeing this all over, most notably before the secret Steelstone Security Complex! (Nova threw this together one night during our Director's Meeting in just a few minutes. It's epic) A twist on the magazine first revealed by Fallout: Equestria - Project Horizons, Martial Mayhem is the Unarmed Magazine replacement for "This Coming Storm." While Kkat did an excellent job with all the Skill Books, Somber tackled the magazines and we need to give credit where it's due! (That being said, I wanted something a bit tamer than the original description!) Finally, we have my favorite of the bunch. Blue Nova outdid himself with this gorgeous Ministry of Peace poster "We Must Do Better." While it's a bit different from the original descriptions, we wanted to reflect that classic 1930s/World War II poster style. Seriously, I just look at this and wonder what in the world I did to get such amazing artistic talent on the Manehattan Project! A Note From Novel So now is my little bit. I'd like to let you all know I've released the next story in my ongoing series which I have decided to finally dub the Wavelengths Timeline. Reasons why this name was chosen will be revealed on my FimFiction blog next week (but you guys get to know first). Grading on a Bell Curve Synopsis: I've also written up a few more followups, if you enjoyed my previous offerings. To check them out, head over to Novel's Nook. That's all for now folks! We'll see you next time! -Novel Idea
  16. Well, I find myself feeling a bit silly. As Toki Zensekai pointed out, I began updates about “Gardens of Equestria: This Coming Storm” here on FiG without actually explaining what the thing is! A rather large oversight, due primarily to the fact that we've been in production of this project for well over a year now. I sometimes forget that the internet is not always as connected as I think it is...and that PR is not my special talent. Heh. ^^; So, I shall correct this error, right here and right now! Below you’ll find an updated (and corrected) FAQ about The Manehattan Project and Gardens of Equestria. But first, check out this awesome Teaser Trailer! Gardens of Equestria: This Coming Storm by the Manehattan Project What is Gardens of Equestria? “This Coming Storm” is a story-driven DLC featuring over 70 levels, a new worldspace, new fully voiced companions and NPCs, custom weapons and armor, unique artwork and models, new factions, two new player homes and more, GoE will bring the Mojave and Equestria closer than ever before. It's being designed for Fallout: New Vegas. “Gardens of Equestria 2: Racing Apotheosis,” (Working Title) which will be a direct sequel to the events in “This Coming Storm,” will be released after the launch of "This Coming Storm" for Fallout 4 “Gardens of Equestria: Dances of Light and Shadow” is a novel by Novel Idea that will bridge the story between “This Coming Storm” and “Racing Apotheosis.” It will be released after the launch of “This Coming Storm.” What’s the story behind Gardens of Equestria: This Coming Storm? It tells a unique tale of the Mojave Wasteland partially merged with Equestrian as familiar heroes from Fallout: Equestria appear in another form in our world. Something has gone terribly wrong and it’s up to you as the Courier to figure out what happened and how to stop it. Will I be playing as a human or a pony? You’ll be playing as a human. While GoE will support the New Vegas Pony Anthro Mod (as do most other mods), we are not including it as part of the package. That being said, humans aren’t the only sentient race you will encounter in your adventures. And that’s all we’re saying about that. ^^ What do I need to play GoE? GoE will require a current and legitimate copy of Fallout: New Vegas. It will also require the DLC “Old World Blues.” While we recommend having the full DLC package, only “Old World Blues” is essential due to its many unique assets. What about Fallout 4? When Fallout 4 was announced at E3 in 2015, we decided to make several large changes to GoE. The first and foremost being that we decided that GoE would have a completely separate experience for Fallout 4! While originally going to be one mod for Fallout: New Vegas, we can’t tell the story we want to with the limited time. So we’ve decided to rebrand “Gardens of Equestria” for Fallout: New Vegas as “This Coming Storm” while the Fallout 4 experience is tentatively titled “Racing Apotheosis.” While Fallout 4 is now available, we’ve invested a great deal of time and energy into the Fallout: New Vegas experience and intend to release that before coming to Fallout 4. What about Fallout 3? Fallout 3 was originally released in 2008. While still an awesome game (that we highly recommend playing), there are some substantial differences between New Vegas and Fallout 3. We may release our weapons and texture packs for Fallout 3 at a later date. Isn’t Overmare Studios already doing this? From my understanding, Overmare Studios started out originally as a Fallout mod project but then decided to move to the Unity3D engine as opposed to GECK/Gamebyro engine. This gives them a huge range of options and whole new possibilities. They’re dedicated to turning Littlepip’s adventures into a full-fledged game in the true Equestrian Wasteland. GoE is about the world of Equestria invading the human world and the repercussions and origins of that event. While there are similarities, they are two separate projects. Can I play as Littlepip? The core story of Gardens of Equestria revolves around the Courier, who for unique reasons, is one of the few humans that remained unaffected by the mysterious reality shift. You’ll be the one at the front of the team, Littlepip and her friends by your side. Will I really be playing with five four* different companions throughout the game? In Fallout: Equestria, Littlepip’s group grows over time as she discovers new allies. The same happens in Gardens of Equestria. In some missions, you will fight with one or two of your companions, while in others you’ll be fighting as a cohesive team. There will even be missions where you choose who joins you and who stays behind…and those decisions can have lasting repercussions for both you and your friends. *Due to time constraints, we decided that Xenith will not be in “This Coming Storm,” however she will be an available companion and central character in GoE 2. What about Blackjack, Morning Glory, P-21, Puppysmiles, Silver Storm/Hired Gun, etc? Are they going to be in Gardens of Equestria? At present, we do not have plans to include anyone other than the original Fallout: Equestria characters in This Coming Storm. That being said, I will find a way to get Puppysmiles into GoE 2 along with several other cameos from Pinkeyes. Paladin Sugar Bombs will also make an appearance in GoE 2 (Because they’re awesome). When will Gardens of Equestria be released? When it’s done. The entire Manehattan Project team has full-time jobs, families and many other commitments. Some of us can spend more time than others. But in the end, to quote a well-known gaming company, “players won’t remember if a game is late, only if it’s great.” (Well, except for Duke Nukem, but let’s not go there) Is there any donation or financial support system in place for the project? No and there never will be. GoE is a non-profit and entirely non-monetary project and will remain that way. 17. Happy Thursday everypony! This here is Novel Idea, bringing you our weekly/biweekly update on the development of Gardens of Equestria: This Coming Storm, our story-driven DLC for Fallout: New Vegas. With over 80,000 words of fully-voiced dialogue, 70+ new levels, an entire new worldspace, custom music, 4 new companions, unique weapons and armor and much, much more, we've got a lot on our plate! Since is the headquarters of all things gaming in the MLP fandom, it's only fitting that we show ourselves here! We may have in the past, but we had let this particular avenue of conversation drop off. Well, that's changed as of now! There's probably a lot of you that have already heard of us. We've been around for about a year and a half now, diligently working to create a whole new reality for you to experience in Gardens of Equestria and working toward our Fallout 4 sequel as well. If you haven't heard of us before, take a moment to check out our Teaser Trailer released in May of 2015 and our Environment Preview trailers we released last November. Now, onto today's post! You know the annoying thing about working on the Gateway Research Facility? I've got all this totally awesome stuff I can't show you! While you may think this is me just teasing you, it's honestly frustrating! I'm really proud of the design of this place, but since it's the grand finale of This Coming Storm...I just can't reveal it until launch. It would be like revealing the end of any big video game. After all... Gah. Extremely frustrating. The consequence, of course, is that I don't have a lot to show you at present, at least in the way of new stuff. Other surprises are in the works, but I want a day-one reveal of it, meaning you can experience those surprises the moment we announce them. We do way too much behind the scenes. Grrrrr... So instead, I'm unlocking a part of Stable 207 you haven't seen before! Stable 207 is (currently) divided into several different sections. There's Auxiliary Support A, Auxiliary Support B, Main Level, the Living Quarters, the Com Tower and the Com Tower Exterior. You've all seen the Main Level (it's very close to what we first revealed in our Teaser Trailer and two weeks ago we gave you a little sneak peak at the Living Quarters. Today, you get to see something different. The Com Tower. For those of you who remember, there's a unique level within the Fallout 3 DLC Broken Steel. It's your first mission--where you see the fate of Liberty Prime--and you take out an Enclave bunker. This chaotic encounter was one of the few places in Fallout where you had vertical-based combat in a tower structure (and you also did it with a team of Knights) However, even that was only four stories high. The Com Tower is twelve stories high. And it's all visible and accessible from the start. What's worse...your enemy has the high ground. That's right, you'll be fighting up the massive superstructure of the Com Tower. You'll be racing against time to stop the nefarious invader's plan for Stable 207 that would silence DJ-PON3 forever...and cost you and your friends your lives. You'll fight through hijacked security systems, hardened shock troopers, lethal tech analysts and much, much more. And at the top of Stable 207, you'll be dealing with the deadly Lieutenant Colonel Windfury. And he's not alone. Because he called in air support to help take you down. Now, I don't want to spam you all with a bunch of screenshots right here on, so instead, I'll just link you the main article. If you want to see the screenshots of the new level, head on over to That's all for this week folks! We'll see you soon! -Novel
  18. Greetings to all. I am not entirely sure if this is the right place to host this recruitment/discussion thingie, so I'm gonna put it here first. Alright, so. About three years ago, someone decided to start work on a StarCraft II Arcade mod based on MLP, named 'Galactic Equine'. He and a few others were planning to create a mod where you could play Equestrians on a typical StarCraft II map. They had managed to do many things, including setting up a tech-tree, creating the unit mechanics for quite a few of the units, and even getting 3D-modelers AND voice-actors for the worker unit. However, around a year ago, the project kind of just... died. No one was working on it, most of the original team had left. It was around this time that me, and a friend of mine decided to try and take over the project to work on it. ... After a year of doing approximately nothing, both of us realized that we were way too incapable of actually doing anything, so here I am. I have already asked the original creator of the mod for the go-ahead to post this here, and here it is, a recruitment drive for people to (once again) work on the project and (to my understanding) complete it as it was really almost finished, mechanically. So, this is a call for help. This project is really pretty cool, and though it is far from being aesthetically complete, is really close to mechanical completion. We need a lot of different people, actually, and if you would like to help, but don't know how to, just contact me, or the original creator, and we can probably tell you. (maybe) For more information on the project and what had been done about it, check out the links below: (The YouTube Channel of the original team) (The YouTube Channel of the leader of the original team) If you would like to help, you can contact: (Me) (The leader of the original team) And to all who think you can't help, please share this to those whom you think can! This project really needs people in order for it to be completed. p.s. Sorry for the cringey English, I'm kinda struggling to find the words.
