  1. https://mlpforums.com/topic/178267-s08e15-the-end-in-friend/ Here's a bit of "spoilers" : The title is just for the younger audience, we know that they will remain friends. Heck, when you think of it, this may the "Rollercoaster of Friendship" Of FIM S8 And we also know, that they'll find something to do together or help each other be more tomboysih (Rainbow helping Rarity) or feminity (Rarity helping Rainbow). But come on, we know that writing staff wouldn't break off the friendship of two of the Mane 7. So again the ending is predictable (story may be really good overall) , however we have to remember the title is for the younger audience watching. Because at the end of the day, the creative staff has to be reminded, that is a show for kids (and to sell toys)

    My Season 8 Theories

"My Season 8 Theories" by AnalyticalGamer Warning! contains season 8 spoilers Introduction This post contains all my current season 8 theories based on the released episodes. Note that only half of season 8 has been released, so I may post more theories during or at the end of the second half of season 8 depending on the circumstances. While I call them all theories, there are a few that are more of facts that have been gained through observations rather than theories, and I will be sure to point this out. I also will use some canonical information that will assist in developing my theories. You might notice how I state a fact or use some canonical information then place a portion of my theory right in with it for it to make sense – I will do the best I can to distinguish my theories from these facts and information, but I might make a mistake or be unclear, so please point anything out where I messed up. One last thing before I begin, most of these theories basically fill in the holes that My Little Pony S8 left unfilled and provide potential explanations to these unstated concepts. Feel welcome to expound on my theories and share your own! Theory 1: Why Ember is Angrier in Season 8 than the Previous Seasons Before I begin, I must explain a concept that will assist in my theory's development; also, this concept is more of a fact rather than a theory. Obviously, there is a time gap between the Movie and S8, because (1) the School of Friendship suddenly appears, (2) the pirates re-build their ship, and (3) the kingdom of the Hippogriffs is rebuilt. I have no idea how long the time gap is, but I will say that it probably ranges from 1 week to 1 year. With that being said, I shall now move on to my theory. Why does Ember act angrier in season 8 (episodes 1 and 2 in particular)? I think there is a background to this – something happened to her before she was first seen in S8 ep 1. In the time gap I previously explained, I theorize that something happened in the dragon-land – something that irritated Ember. I would say that a fight occurred since Ember was trying to enforce a new rule that the dragons must share their feelings with each other to become friends (S7 ep 15), and this probably backfired making them fight even more. She said it herself, competing is in their nature, and I don't think any-creature would change that easily, especially dragons. After this occurred, I think Smolder put up a small fight and was highly reluctant to go to the School of Friendship, making Ember even more angry. On top of all that, she gets offended by Neighsay which makes her even more frustrated. The result is an increase of hostility and anger that was set off as soon as Neighsay revealed his 'speciesism'. Theory 2 Part 1: How the Hippogriff Pearl Works I was thinking how every single Hippogriff possessed one very small fraction of the pearl, and a few questions came to my mind. How many pieces are left? What does the Queen do when she is out of the pieces and new baby Hippogriffs are born? Are there more pearls out there? I will provide a theory to answer these questions, but there are more possibilities out there. I don't know how many pieces are left, but I will assume at least a few since every single Hippogriff seen already has one (except the children); furthermore, I assume that because it is very unlikely to have just enough pieces of the same size for every single Hippogriff. The second answer is the answer to both the second and third questions. I theorize that there are more pearls that have similar characteristics to the one we saw in the Movie. This would mean that the Queen doesn't need to worry about running out of pearl shards and new baby hippogriffs being unable to change forms. On the negative side, multiple pearls would also pose a slight danger and responsibility to the hippogriffs, as there are more pearls to protect from those who would want to use those pearls for evil and selfish purposes. Theory 2 Part 2: How Hippogriff Children Earn Their Necklaces I re-watched episode 6 about a week and a half after it aired, and something sparked my attention – why did no child hippogriff had a necklace? This leads me to my final part of my theory. I think that the children hippogriffs must earn their necklaces, just like how a child pony must earn his or her cutie mark. This would mean that Terramar was not in a position that is comparable to that of earning a cutie mark because he would have already earned his necklace. This final question that comes up about this part of my theory – how do hippogriffs earn their necklaces? I think the simple answer is that they must wait until they become old enough. Of course, this answer would mean that hippogriffs earning their necklaces are not like ponies earning their cutie marks in the sense that there is no special talent to be earned; rather, a special privilege is received at a certain age. Theory 3: Celestia is Immune to Phoenix Feathers According to season 8 episode 11, ponies' ears clog up when exposed to phoenix feathers. This makes me wonder...since Celestia has a pet phoenix, does she ever have clogged up ears from this? Not as far as we know of, so I theorize that Celestia is immune to the phoenix feather effects. Celestia has the power to raise the sun, and phoenixes have sun-like abilities as well, which would render their feathers' effects as harmless to Celestia. One question arises from this theory – is this immunity only for Celestia, or do all alicorns possess it? I think it is only for Celestia. I say this because alicorns are like unicorns when it comes to magic, and Rarity was affected by phoenix feathers. Also, alicorns are ponies and Zecora most likely was referring to pony-kind in general when she said that ponies' ears clog up from phoenix feathers.
  3. It may seem that DHX/Hasbro is heading in that direction. I mean why else would they decide to bring Tirek back in the season 8 finale, if that probably won't be the case? Well, because it just might be. I mean, when you honestly think about it, we really haven't had a full season long arc since season 4, and season 8 could be that season where we get another season long arc. And this could be why Chrysalis is seen in the S8 Premiere and Tirek is slated for the S8 Finale, because throughout the season, we will have episodes (every few weeks of the 26 episode run, I would assume) that will build to something big at the end. And whatever that maybe, will play a huge part in Chrysalis Reformation, wither it's Tirek draining her of her power (or what's left of it), or him (at full power) threating the changlings, it will be shown as being a big deal. Now I know many fans don't want this to happen, but if you look at Diamond Tira's reformation in S5, it may have taken 3 1/2 seasons to happen, but it did and the end result was the CMC's getting their cutie marks in the end. And you know what, it was treated as a big deal, why?, because it took nearly 4 seasons for it to happen, and at the same time, they help reform a character, that many felt was unreformable. So if you look at how S8 may play out story-arc wise, we may get a similar situation, but on a much larger scale, with the strong possibility of Chrysalis being reformed at the end of the season. But that's just a theory IMO, of what I could see happen in S8, now that we have both Chrysalis and Tirek in the picture. Do you agree? Chrysalis To Reformed In Season 8
  4. So one question that was brought up, was how are the MANE 7 going to work around being teachers and such at this school, while they have other priorities to attend too. That's a good question. And hopefully, I can answer that. Now some are looking at the school as like a college of some kind, or an independent study program. And if that's the case, then it's real simple, you have one or two classes taught a day and that's it. Then afterwards you use the rest of the day to attend to those other priorities that need attention. For example : On Monday's , you could have Applejack and Rainbow Dash teach their classes, while the others use that day to attend to their other jobs and priorities Then on Tuesday's, Have Fluttershy and Pinkie teach their classes, while the others use that day to attend to their other jobs and priorities Then on Wednesday , Have Rarity teach her's, while the others use that day to attend to their other jobs and priorities, rinse and repeat. And then use the rest of the week to focus on other priorities that need attending too, or use it to just relax and enjoy life. Because you have to remember this, Rarity has 3 shops to attend too, so she would need that extra time to attend to them. Rainbow Dash is a Wonderbolt, so she'll need to rehearse with them, even if they work around her new teaching schedule, she still needs time to rehearse. Applejack has her family's farm that needs tending too. Pinkie has Sugarcube Corner bakery that she works at, so she'll need time for that. Twilight probably would like some time to just relax and read a good book, maybe catch up on what Sunset's doing, spend time with her family, etc. And Starlight would probably enjoy a bit of a break too, especially if she's going to be the school's guidance counselor, I'm sure she would appreciate some time off. But yeah, I believe that's how the school, from an hourly/time-wise perspective will work. I mean if you have 15-16 episodes yet to come that are non-school and non-student six centered, then what I just mentioned here on how it will operate, fits right in with the continuity of the season. Because remember after this past weekend, we now have only 8-9 school and student six centered episodes to go. But that's how (IMO) I believe the School of Friendship will operate in continuity with the 8th season. What do you think though? Do you agree with what I said? Share your thoughts and have a Blessed GOOD FRIDAY.
  5. Yes, from what I was able to count off, for a season that's main selling point and focus is the School Of Friendship, there's only 10 episodes focusing on it. While the other 16 are more along the lines of what we've seen in pervious seasons when it comes to the Mane 6-7-8. And honestly , I think it works. I mean you still get to focus on the selling point of the season, that being the School, but you still get to (for majority of the season) keep the Main Focus on the Mane 6/7/8 and retain what made the show what it is to begin and what brought it to the dance in the first place. So what are your thoughts on this? God Bless!
  6. What you guys think?
  7. I'm aware that after every season, every episode, we've all had hints given to us from time to time on what to expect the next season or episode. We all have differing reactions to everything. For me it's all white noise. Noise that I can never understand. But after the leaked hints of the future of MLP, now I feel like it's an ultra serious time. Like it's the literal end of days for the show, and that people are not just saying this on a whim. Like this isn't something to take lightly AT ALL. This isn't just another addition to the show to cause needless drama. The implied atmosphere from others is that the content of the leaks will ultimately decide the fate of the franchise. With the new synopses, movie sequel, making of G5, and new character designs (all of which I only heard of and never actually seen), this dwarfs all the drama between alicorn Twi and Starlight's introduction. End question for you is: ARE THE LEAKED CONTENT CONSIDERED AS TRULY THE FINAL BULLET THAT WILL FINALLY LEAVE MY LITTLE PONY WITH A MISERABLE DEATH? Now for me, this is my answer: I will never tell for sure. You cannot seriously expect me to be clairvoyant about this. And I seriously doubt anyone else knows anyone who is actually psychic and can predict with infinite percent accuracy what is meant to be. When that time comes, you can blame me or anyone else for being wrong about what's to come. Or you can brag to the entire world how much you were right when everyone refused to listen to you. But in the end, please please PLEASE accept the fact that us humans are extremely limited in almost every way. If you or other people can't, especially you@LostSanity, then you can go on living a life of bias and bigotry and that's a lifestyle that I and anyone else will rightfully condemn.
  8. Is MLP : Friendship is Magic Hurrying Certain Moments Instead Of Really Building Up To Them? Did this before today, but I discuss, if MLP : FIM is hurrying certain big Moments and should they have held off on them a bit longer. Comments are Welcomed
  9. I think the S7 finale (wither you enjoyed or not) gave us an idea of what Josh and Nicole has/have in store for us in this upcoming season. As far as the Pillars go, I've been thinking, that something is being set up that will cause them to go back to their original timeline in history, maybe they start losing whatever power they have or like Mistmane did in her story, start to grow older and in this case, weaker because they're slowly losing their power, and the only to save them is to send them back to their own time. Also I think somehow we will probably find out the that there is something more Darker than the POS, Tirek, Chrysalis , or any threat they've faced combined. I also think that all 6, if not Mane 7/8 Will get a vision of what this NEW Threat is, and what they may have to do to stop it, which may be something silmiar to what The Pillars did a 1000 years before to contain the POS. But those are just my theroies. Do you all agree?
