Soviet A E S T H E T I C

Recommended Posts

Ain't even Red Army Choir.

For those who don't know:

Born in 1937 Novosibirsk Edward Artemiev is a fore-running pioneer of electronic music, being introduced to one of the first musical synthesizers in early 1960 and producing his first electronic album in 1967. By 1972 he was composing for films with Soviet-director Andrei Tarkovsky on three projects, including Edward's first film gig on his 1972 film Solaris.

Basically, if you needed new Soviet A E S T H E T I C because you're tired of army guys singing the Song of the Volga Boatman than a good place to look now is in Artemiev.

I am simply spreading the gospel.
