Gaming Laptop Recommendations?

Recommended Posts

So, I'm going to be getting a gaming laptop shortly (Before you say anything, no, i'm not getting a desktop at this time), and I was looking to see if anyone had any recommend that are close but not over $1,250. I plan on playing games like TF2, BFBC2, BF3, maybe BF4. I've listed two that I've been interested in below. Leave a comment if you have and you'd recommend. Thank you!

Definitely the ASUS. While the MSI does have a better graphics card, the ASUS sports 1 Gig more of Video Memory which is going to insure your games run smooth as butter. Plus the ASUS has a 1TB HD whereas the MSI only carries half of that space. You're going to get a lot more bang for your buck with the ASUS.

The MSI has a 512 GB SSD, which are faster than HDDs, and it has a 970, but the 970 only has 3GB of vram which can be crippling for some games. However, the $1200 price for the ASUS is way too much for what it is.

Don't know a whole lot about gaming laptops since I built a desktop, but I've heard excellent things about the Lenovo Y series. Either the 960m or the 970m is sufficient for running battlefield 4, so it depends on what features you're looking for. Honestly though this question is better suited for tom's hardware than equestria daily.
