What do you think on the subject? It's a complicated matter to me, sometimes feminazis kind of convince me with their arguments "it's objectifying women" and so... the best I can do is pointing at their hypocrisy because they willingly ignore the fact that there's also gay porn and that some women watch different kinds of porn too. But that doesn't solve the issue, as someone could eventually say that's also wrong in those cases. I mean, I believe that people is free to do whatever they want with their bodies as long as it's consensual and nobody else gets harmed, so it will be fine if they accept to f*ck for money in front of a camera. But on the other hand i have to reckon that most of those people (men and women alike) do it primarily for the money, and there's only a small minority who would choose porn as a career if they had a chance.

Sometimes I come to the conclusion that I should only watch hentai or clop, that such erotic genres are more ethically acceptable since no real people is involved in the making and so it lacks the main problem that i see with regular porn.

There have been moments when I've decided not to watch por anymore and delete all my porn folders... then a couple of years later I come to the conclusion that there's no reason to prevent yourself from doing something you enjoy so I start again... the main issue for me in those cases is the accumulation of images and videos. Why do I do that? sometimes I download hundreds of images even knowing I probably won't ever see them. It's like an urge to get that material just because of... I don´t know. And by the way it's nothing really hardcore or extreme, just the usual naked chicks and some action. I wouldn't call myself an addict, actually i probably watch less porn than most people, or less porny material, but whether or not should I do it remains a question unsolved for me.

This is not a call for advice, but the expression of a desire to start a conversation. I'm against censorship but that doesn't mean that the content we watch is free from being judged as good or bad, so if any of you can provide me a novel argument I would appreciate.

I don't understand why people want to download it, isn't having it stored on the net more convenient and less of a hassle?
I think it's not an issue so long you don't make a fuss about it, as in, if someone tells you he never watched porn he probably lies, but if someone boasts about his porn search history and what he downloaded the other day I'll definitely be uncomfortable.
Long story short, what you do in privacy is none of my buisness, harms no one so all the power to you, just don't be proud to flaunt it and start using it as everyday discussion topics in public >_>
(By public I mean say when you are out at a bar or something and I don't mean this thread)

As long as everyone involved is of-age and consenting, I don't see the harm in it. There are porn addicts out there, but the same could be said for alcohol or even, like, eating. And I'm pretty sure most people would agree that food should be readily available for everyone, even if some people abuse it to their own detriment.

Back when I did watch internet porn, I would save all the URLs in a Word document, rather than download any of it. But maybe for the people who do download, it's the same thing as a shopper's high, you know that brief feeling of satisfaction at having acquired something new. I never got that with porn, I was always too busy feeling... other forms of satisfaction. *ahem*

The thing about internet porn, though, at least the free stuff, is that it's not very convincing. These people are not great actors. There's not a lot of emotion or romance in it, just two (or more) naked people smashing their torsos together like their families are being held at gunpoint and the ransom demand is orgasms. I can't get into it if the actors clearly aren't into it. The visuals are, like, the least appealing part of sex; I've got to feel something of what the performers of the act are feeling, emotionally if not physically. Since I don't have a girlfriend #virgin #bronystereotypes #askmeaboutmyponytoycollectionladies #fakehashtags

Me personally, I've since sworn off pornography for reasons of my faith. It's just a temporary sense of pleasure that serves to do nothing but encourage lust for more.

In general, if someone else wants to watch porn then whatever. I cannot tell people how to behave, and since it is not illegal it's not up to me to say so. (except for illegal stuff, which should be removed)

Perhaps you should try luck writing movie scripts. That's a pretty original premise.

IMO Pornography is fine and can be used to relieve sexual tension, and is good for a growing child going through puberty. It should be encouraged as so these tensions aren't released in a different manner.

I don't honestly mind it exists, it's just something that's been around long enough to be considered normal at this point, even if it's still plagued by a pretty serious taboo in some circles. What people do and watch in their spare time is up to them.

That's funny, I'm just actually build a porn site to make some extra money and have return on my expensive server.

I think we can't say "porn is good" or "porn is evil" without hypocrisy. People watching porn everydays are not bad person, mostly, because all the people watch it with different frequencies. But some videos, even legals, are very hard sometimes, especially for the young girls who didn't expected that the camera just want to see her crying and dominated. By building my website, I saw some shocking videos, and I never searching for extreme porn. I can't even imagine what you can see in dark web porn.

Actually I'm truly bored to talk with person who put porn everywhere, in every discussions. I don't think porn is bad, but it is very annoying to talk about it when the conversation was not about. One example : check pony town with a "sexy" pony. You can't stay 5 min alone without sexual assault, or porn jokes. That is exactly what I find annoying.

(I'm very sorry if my english is bad sometimes, feel free to MP if you are confused, or to propose better sentences:fluttersmith:, I did my best)

I'm actually glad to see how open minded most folks seem to be around here, i'd like to clarify that my biggest concern about porn is not whether or not i´m a bad person for watching it but how can i be sure that it was done in a way that was totally legal and safe for the people involved. I believe that Bakaarion has touched a valid point there.

There are a couple of websites that i watched a lot years ago and they were very popular , but then i started reading that they had a lot of legal issues and that the models (it was all softcore anyway) earned very little, etc. I know that professional porn made in the U.S.A. is totally legal and even safer than other industries, but what i really like to watch are those eastern european models who often come as immigrants and who barely speak english, what i feel guilty about is not the sexual arousal but the idea that i couls have been part of a system who took advantage of poor people.

In that way i believe that hentai and clop are perfect for nobody is phisically involved in any form of exploitation, but paradoxically it seems to get most hatred from anti-porn activists.

Best not to go down that rabbit hole. We in the developed countries can have the standard of living that we do because international corporations exploit the shit out of the people in poorer nations who make our stuff. It's not capitalism unless someone's getting boned. And not in a fun way.

I'm not down for it, cartoon, real or otherwise. But I see no harm in allowing others to indulge in their sexual fantasies, so long as their safe behind their computer screens and out of public eye. Perfectly acceptable.

On the content creation: again, so long as it's private and no body is being harmed or exploited. No harm; no foul. Good on 'em for using their useless selves for something productive. Talking about physical humans smashing pelvises, not artists (one takes no skill other than a gym membership, the other takes years of focus, practice, skill and refinement)
