I'm scared of saying something stupid and losing what few friends I actually have, so I blame myself whenever something goes wrong to help keep that from happening. And every time I blame myself for something and start beating myself up, I damage my self-esteem more and more. Which makes me start assuming things will go wrong because I feel like I'm always gonna mess something up. It's a vicious cycle, and one I completely ignore unless I'm completely rational like I am right now. I'm worried about losing not only friends, but any kind of social feelings others may have or had towards me and losing whatever credibility I have. basically I'm worried I'm gonna become a social reject.
