IDW MLP:FIM Comics

Recommended Posts

Hey! I have a question? Is it Ok if I make a topic about me selling my comics? They are IDW My Little Pony Friendahip is Magic. Its just that I stop reading them and buying them. I'm more into the cartoon anyways than the comics. Since this is a pony related site I thought I ask here. Just making sure its Ok to do that here. So if its Ok to do that here. Let me know? I can only mail it to USA States only. Anybody is interested let me know. I spent a lot of money with getting this comics. So not asking for too cheap of price. I pretty much read them once only. If I try to sell them to a comic store they might rip me off. They are in good shape.

Damn. I was looking to buy some of the MLP comics, as I have none. But I live outside the US.

You can get IDW comics from shops in the UK, too. xP You'll get them one way or another.

Yeah, I saw a bunch of them in Forbidden Planet, although it would be a good to get a good deal on them. I don't wanna spend too much money.

The mini-comics IDW are pretty cute, too, if you don't wanna spend lots and you don't mind smaller reads. I dunno if you've ever found yourself wandering into Toys R Us or something (just using that as an example because it's where I got mine from), but last time I was there, they had some small IDW comics on the little cardboard stands near the tills (then again, we live in different areas so they might setup differently). I only have five of them (and I'm pretty sure one is from a different wave than the others but they were the only five at the store), but they were still enjoyable to read (and each came with a free poster!)

Here's what they look like (I used my photography skills to take these pictures just for you):

Oh nice. Thanks for taking the pictures. Nearer to where I live, there is not many Toys R us stores, and the only ones I know are the big warehouse ones that are not that easy to get to, without driving. Although soon, I will get my drivers license so it will be easier.

If they do sell them in Toys R us then that is great. Hopefully I will be able to buy some relatively soon. Its also good that they come with posters as well. I wish I could put them up on my wall, but my parents already think I'm pretty gay for liking the show xD.

Yeah, but that doesn't make sense to some people. If I like something that is aimed at girls, I'm gay. If someone wants to fight me, and I back down, I'm a pussy. If I do something that challenges the norm, I'm scum, and deserve to be bullied. If someone disrespects me, I have to fight them, and if I don't I'm not a man.

It sucks, but that is pretty much how the world works.

That's bull. My brother watches MLP (which you know), but he still likes GTA and stuff like that. His friends don't know that he watches it, sure, but he had a girlfriend since year 11, which was a few years after he started watching pony with me. They split up a few weeks ago, but that's besides the point. People are born straight or gay. Anyone with the ideology that people can be "fixed" or "turned to another sexuality" because of what they do or what they like are idiots.

Well its kind of the same with me. I like GTA and stuff like that as well, but I can assure you, that if I let people know that I watch MLP, it will not be taken well. Close friends, and family, yeah, they can be more understanding. Especially if I explain it to them, and make them know that I understand it is a bit weird, but it is what I like. To someone who I haven't made it clear to, however, they get the wrong idea. I have been called a paedophile, homosexual, and a bunch of other stuff just for liking a show that is objectively good. I'm just a normal guy that happens to have stumbled upon something that on the outside, looks like something I wouldn't like, but when looking further into I have realised that it is very good.

When I told my mum that I started watching it and told her that it was "actually really good" and that there was a huge teenager/adult fanbase around it of both males and females (so I didn't even give a big explanation or need to), she thought it was funny, but not in a "there's something wrong with you and them" way, but a "that's crazy/I can't believe it" type way. Then I got my brother on it, so we marathoned the show and she walked in on us watching it (she already knew he was watching and enjoying it with me so she wasn't shocked), and she laughed a bit and said "I can't believe you're watching that" (not in a condescending way, but a "I still can't believe that MLP is so popular/enjoyable" way). I can't remember which episode we were on. Maybe Stare Master? Or A Bird in the Hoof? It was something from season 1 - 3, because that and Equestria Girls 1 was all that was out at the time. Either way, I'm pretty sure Fluttershy was on the screen when I paused it. She watched with me until A Dog and Pony Show (I'm pretty sure), but I forgot to ask her to keep watching more, which is why we never continued.

As for the name-calling just because what you like goes against common archetypes, that shows that wisdom clearly does not come with age.

Well UK won't work. Sorry about that. :/ It has to be within the states. I can help with shipping cost. It probably go in one of those USPS boxes type. I want $60.00 for the lot. I will also include a Daring Do Book. I have pics if you wanna see what they look like. I have issues 8, 12, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, 31, 34, 36, 41, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 50, 52. I also have a few of MLP:FIM Friends Forever series. 14, 30, 33, 34. The Daring Do book cots me like $10.00. I spent like $80.00. LOL You are getting a reasonable price for it.

Hahahah guess you got off easy.

As for me, I had to watch all the episodes on a 4 inch phone screen, and turn it off every time someone walked in, to try and make it not look weird. Only problem with that was, people would think I was watching *ahem* something else. Anyway, it became pretty obvious that I was a fan of the show after I started collecting the merchandise and I acted like it was not really a big deal. Although, I still haven't explicitly told anyone in my family that I actually watch the show, but its pretty obvious, and I figured that there is no good reason to tell them that I watch it. After all, I don't exactly tell everyone what games I play, what music I listen to or books I read, so why should this be any different?

Well $60 is definitely a good price for me. Although shipping from the US to the UK will not exactly be cheap. I think it would be a lot easier for me to just buy them here, and its going to be a lot more trouble than its worth. Thanks anyway though. I hope you find someone else to sell them to.
